This Privacy Policy applies to both sites operated by GolferX, Inc. ("we," "us," "our"): Clubfit.golf, our free golf club fitting tools, and Golf Equipment Database (golfequipmentdatabase.com), our open, community-editable equipment database. It explains what we collect, how we use it, and which third parties may receive data when you use either site. Where a section applies only to one property, it says so.
To improve our recommendations, we take the launch-monitor measurements from fittings run on our tools — the equipment tested and its numbers (club and ball speed, spin, launch and descent angle, carry, and similar) — strip them of any identifier (no name, email, or account) before they are stored, and pool the anonymized data across golfers to make our models better for everyone. Contributing this anonymized data is part of using our free fitting tools, as agreed when you accept this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service: you receive a fitting at no cost, and in return your anonymized numbers help the next golfer get a better result.
Because these records carry no identifier linking them to you, they cannot be traced back to you or individually retrieved or deleted once stored. As anonymized, aggregated data they are a proprietary asset of GolferX, Inc., which may retain them indefinitely, use and analyze them to operate and improve our tools, and — only in aggregated or derived form (such as statistical insights, benchmarks, and trained recommendation models) — commercialize or license them. We do not sell or license individual, record-level observations as standalone data. They are never shared in a way that identifies an individual. This commercial use applies to measurements collected on or after September 2026; measurements collected before that date are used only to operate and improve our own tools.
Our sites do not set first-party tracking cookies. However, the following third-party tools that we integrate may set cookies, identifiers, or similar tracking technologies on your browser when you use our sites:
You can disable cookies and trackers via your browser settings or use privacy tools (uBlock, AdGuard, Brave shields). Doing so will not break the fitting tool but may prevent us from receiving affiliate credit for your purchases.
Clubfit.golf earns commissions when users click affiliate links on our site and complete qualifying purchases at partner retailers. We participate in the Awin affiliate network and currently link out to 2nd Swing.

Once you land on the merchant's site, their privacy policy applies. We do not control or have access to data they collect.
We use trusted third parties to provide infrastructure, processing, and communication services. They are permitted to process data only as needed to perform those services:
If you create a contributor account for our public equipment database, we store your email address (used only for single-use sign-in links — we never store passwords), your chosen public display name, and your contributions. Your email is never displayed publicly and never appears in the public dataset. You can delete your account at any time from the contribute page; deletion immediately removes your email, sign-in sessions, and display-name registration. Because the contribution history is a permanent public record, past contributions remain in the dataset attributed to your display name after account deletion — choose a pseudonym if you prefer. Contributions are published under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license described in the contributor terms.
If you use My Bag to record the clubs you play and how they are built (heads, lofts, lie, length, shafts, grips, swingweight, settings, notes and the dates and sources of those measurements), that data is stored against your account and is private: it is visible only to you, it is not part of the public dataset or any export, and it is deleted immediately when you delete your account. With your agreement (collected before your first save), we may use My Bag data in anonymized, aggregated form only — stripped of your email, display name and account identifier and combined with other golfers' data — to understand how equipment is actually built and played and to improve the database and our fitting models. Such aggregated or derived data is a proprietary asset of GolferX, Inc., may be retained indefinitely and, in aggregated or derived form, used or licensed commercially; we do not sell or license your individual bag records as standalone data, and aggregates are never shared in a way that identifies an individual. Deleting your bag or account stops any future use; aggregates already derived cannot be traced back to you.
We retain fitting session data and waitlist entries indefinitely to support product improvement, future communications, and historical recommendation accuracy. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email info@golferx.io and reference your session or email address. Note that anonymized, aggregated data that no longer identifies you (see “Measured Fitting Data & Model Learning” above) cannot be located or deleted because it carries no identifier linking it to you.
Our sites are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. The revision date above will reflect any changes. Material changes will be communicated to subscribers where we have an email address on file.
